La nostra città è un museo a cielo aperto ricca di tesori nascosti e di bellezze poco conosciute. La maggior parte dei napoletani, però, la conosce poco e ancora meno le sue storie e le sue leggende.

Capita spesso anche a me, nonostante ami la mia città, di rimanere sorpreso dalle tante cose che si possono apprendere a/su Napoli giorno dopo giorno.

La settimana scorsa appena ho, per esempio, appreso una notizia che mi ha stupito: un gruppo di storici dell’Università di Tallinn in Estonia, dopo molti anni di ricerche, ha affermato che la tomba del Conte Vlad Tepes di Valacchia, meglio conosciuto come il conte Dracula o Vlad III l’impalatore, probabilmente, si trovi in Santa Maria la Nova in Napoli ed esattamente nel chiostro piccolo monumentale.

Indipendentemente dalla discutibilità del celeberrimo personaggio, la notizia è per me stata la conferma ennesima di quanto Napoli celi ancora tanti misteri e costituisca una fucina inesauribile di storie interessanti.

Il caso ha voluto poi, che proprio quest’anno ricorra il 550esimo anniversario della morte del conte Dracula (dicembre 1476); è così che ho pensato di realizzare un torrone speciale in occasione della ricorrenza dei morti del 2 novembre, IL TORRONE DEL CONTE DRACULA!  

Non poteva che essere rosso questo torrone come il sangue delle vittime del più Vampiro per eccellenza.

Scherzi a parte si tratta di una gustosissima ed originale variante del celebre torrone, il dolce protagonista dei primi giorni di novembre (mandorle di prima scelta ed finissimo cioccolato fondente), con un cuore rosso sangue.

Dolcetto e scherzetto?

Our city is an open-air museum full of hidden treasures and little-known beauties. Most Neapolitans, however, know her little and no less his stories and legends.

It often happens to me, even though you love my city, to be surprised by the many things you can learn in / on Naples day after day.

Last week, as soon as I had, for example, I learned something that amazed me: a group of historians from the University of Tallinn in Estonia, after many years of research, said that the grave of Count Vlad Tepes of Valacchia, better known as Count Dracula or Vlad III the impaler, probably, is in Santa Maria la Nova in Naples and exactly in the small monumental cloister.

Regardless of the questionable nature of the famous character, the news has been for me yet another confirmation of how much Naples still hides many mysteries and constitutes an inexhaustible forge of interesting stories.

The case then wanted, that this year marks the 550th anniversary of the death of Count Dracula (December 1476); that’s how I thought of making a special nougat on the occasion of the anniversary of the dead of November 2,THE NOUGAT OF COUNT DRACULA!

It could only be red this torrone as the blood of the victims of the most Vampire par excellence.

Seriously it is a delicious and original variant of the famous nougat, the sweet protagonist of the first days of November (almonds of first choice and very fine dark chocolate), with a blood-red heart.
